Ted Girard is the Director of Public Sector Sales at Okta with over twenty years of government sales leadership experience in the information technology industry. He is responsible for the US Public Sector business unit where he defines Okta’s vision and strategy in the Federal, State & Local and Education markets. Ted and his extended team empower customers to re-invent themselves by connecting everything through the Okta Identity Cloud.
Before joining Okta, Ted was Vice President of Federal Sales at BMC Software. In this role, he led a team focused on digital innovation, helping customers to provide intuitive user experiences with optimized performance, compliance, and productivity. As a sales leader, he developed a comprehensive solution sales framework that drove his organization to deliver stellar sales results yearly.
Prior to the acquisition and merger with BMC Software, Ted worked as a Federal Sales Director for BladeLogic, Inc. and has led channel and direct sales teams working for companies such as Brocade Communications, Xerox Corporation, and Tektronix, Inc.
