Peter Fonash

Peter Fonash is the Chief Technology Officer for DHS’ Cybersecurity and Communications organization. Prior to DHS, Fonash held senior positions at the National Communications System, including Deputy Manager and Director, as well as Chief, Technology and Programs Division. He was also the Director of the National Cyber Security Division. Prior to DHS he served as the Chief of the Defense Information System’s Agency’s Joint Combat Support Applications Division, providing technical software integration services to the functional communities and guiding functional applications’ compliance with the standard common operational environment. He worked for the Assistant Secretary of Defense for C3I, was responsible for Defense communications infrastructure policy and program oversight.
